Bianca Tognocchi

The soprano Bianca Tognocchi, a distinguished performer with the Frankfurt Opera, together with baritone Luis Santana and pianist Víctor Carbajo, present their Christmas and New Year Concert. The carefully chosen program offers a thoughtfully arranged sequence of excerpts from great opera composers such as Puccini, Verdi, Rossini, and Mozart, in a journey filled with lyricism, emotion, and vocal brilliance. Alongside these masterpieces, the concert includes a selection of traditional carols, creating a repertoire that is both accessible and evocative, appealing to audiences of all ages.

The program is further enriched with unforgettable pieces by renowned Spanish composers such as Moreno Torroba, Sorozábal, and Pablo Luna, introducing the audience to the richness of zarzuela and Spanish musical tradition. A recital where vocal and interpretive excellence is paired with a carefully curated repertoire to deliver a unique musical experience.

The tour format will feature piano accompaniment or a local orchestra.

Born in Como (Italy), soprano Bianca Tognocchi graduated from the Giuseppe Verdi Conservatory in Milan, quickly launching a brilliant artistic career backed by important international awards such as the Tebaldi Competition, the Grand Prix de l’Opera, and As.Li.Co, among others. Her solid training and exceptional musicality have led her to develop an intense career in some of the most important theaters and festivals in Europe, becoming one of the most outstanding voices of her generation in the operatic repertoire.

A specialist in the bel canto and Mozartian repertoire, Bianca Tognocchi has successfully performed leading roles such as Gilda in Rigoletto, Lucia in Lucia di Lammermoor, Adina in L’elisir d’amore, Norina in Don Pasquale, Susanna in Le nozze di Figaro, Zerlina in Don Giovanni, Musetta in La Bohème, and Amina in La Sonnambula, a role that earned her great critical and audience acclaim. Her vocal and scenic versatility has also allowed her to tackle highly technically demanding repertoires, consolidating a career marked by interpretive excellence.

Throughout her career, she has performed in major international venues such as La Scala, the Teatro Regio di Torino, the Ravenna Festival, the Donizetti Festival, the Malmö Opera in Sweden, the Sejong Arts Center in Seoul, the Deutsche Oper am Rhein in Düsseldorf, and the Leipzig Opera, where she was part of its permanent company between 2018 and 2020, performing notable operatic roles.

Since 2020, she has been part of the soloist ensemble of the prestigious Frankfurt Opera, one of Europe’s most renowned lyric theaters, where she has performed roles such as Gilda in Rigoletto, Susanna in Le nozze di Figaro, Despina in Così fan tutte, Norina in Don Pasquale, and Madama Brillante in L’italiana in Londra, thus consolidating a reference artistic presence on the international operatic scene.

Among her most recent engagements are performances as Musetta in La Bohème in Bari, Gasparina in Il Campiello in Verona, as well as new artistic challenges linked to the great bel canto repertoire, reaffirming an artistic career in constant growth and a musical personality of extraordinary sensitivity and virtuosity.

This Zamoran baritone began his musical studies at the age of five, studying with some of the greatest teachers such as Juana Peñalver, Consuelo Barrio, María Teresa Manzano, Miguel Zanetti, and currently with the eminent Spanish tenor Pedro Lavirgen and with Teresa Berganza.
